What Some Know But Won’t Tell You About Motherhood
"That Part! What Some Know But Won't Tell You About Motherhood" is a raw and relatable exploration of what it truly means to navigate motherhood. From 2010 to 2015, I gave birth to three children in two years, including a set of twins—while the world outside was reckoning with the realities of the Black Lives Matter movement and the heartbreak of Sandy Hook. Inside my world? The pain of engorged breasts, the haze of postpartum depression, and the daily balancing act of holding space for both my children and myself.
Through it all, I realized something no one tells you: Motherhood isn’t just about raising kids. It’s about raising yourself—unlearning what doesn’t serve you, listening to your inner voice, and doing the soul work necessary to support your child’s growth.
That Part! is more than a book—it’s a real-life diary, a love letter to healing, and an unapologetic declaration for mothers to embrace their power and rewrite the rules of what motherhood should look like.
